That chair

Do you ever have stuff in your life that suddenly hits you as ridiculous, when it may already have been staring you in the face for years?
In churches on several continents, I have found myself sitting on those universal plastic chairs (the pastors, above, are from Uganda). True, a variety of colours, but still those chairs. They are a close relative of the global traffic cone.
There, enough said, that was my realisation, and it made me laugh. Those chairs have a global church monopoly.
And then I opened up The Guardian, and there, in the tent behind the Kurdish general… you got it, those chairs have made it into the military too. Global chair domination has arrived!
